Charlene Bradford

Charlene is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists (#4412), a Registered Play Therapist (#T3855), a certified Foundational Theraplay Practitioner. and an Eye Movement and Desensitization (EMDR) trained clinician. She is also a member of the Canadian Psychological Association, the Psychologists Association of Alberta, the Psychology Society of the Yukon, the Association for Play Therapy, and the Theraplay Institute.

She holds a Master’s Degree from the University of Calgary in School and Applied Child Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts, Honours from the University of Victoria. She is trained and certified in both play therapy and theraplay, psycho-educational assessment, EDMR (including as a child specialist), child-parent relationships, expressive therapies, and motivational interviewing and has experience with cognitive-behaviour therapy. Charlene has training and experience in helping parents and caregivers build stronger attachments with their children.

Charlene has been working in her private practice for the past six years. Prior to branching into private practice, she worked in a variety of settings including the Child Development Centre and within Yukon Government in both the education and health and social services departments. She draws on her considerable experience with children and high risk youth and with mental health issues to provide services to children, teens, and families in the areas of assessment, anxiety, trauma, attachment, and complex behaviour.

Laura Orviss


Laura is a Canadian Certified Counsellor and an Eye Movement and Desensitization (EMDR) trained clinician. She has a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology and has training in play therapy, Adlerian play therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy, and trauma-focused CBT. 


Laura has worked with children and their families within the Yukon Education system for many years and is excited to be making the transition to private practice. ​She brings her warmth, caring, and expertise into her work here with children and families. She enjoys using play-based approaches with children to help in the areas of anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, attention, and self-esteem.   

Laura is also working with teens and adults in the areas of grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and trauma. 


Kelly Giesbrecht


Kelly is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and a Canadian Certified Counsellor. She has a Masters in Education in Educational Counselling and a Professional Certificate (Level 1) in Couple and Family Therapy. She enjoys using a narrative and family systems approach. She specializes in couples and family counselling and in individual counselling with adolescents and adults in the areas of bereavement, communication, relationships, depression, grief and loss, stress, suicide, self-esteem, and mindfulness.
