Charlene is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists (#4412), a Registered Play Therapist (#T3855) and a Certified Foundational Theraplay Practitioner . She is also a member of the Canadian Psychological Association, the Psychologists Association of Alberta, and Association for Play Therapy.
Charlene holds a Masters Degree from the University of Calgary in School and Applied Child Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Victoria. She is trained in play therapy, theraplay, psycho-educational assessment, child-parent relationships, expressive therapies, and motivational interviewing and has experience with cognitive-behaviour therapy. Charlene also has training and experience in helping parents and caregivers build stronger attachments with their children. Charlene draws on her considerable experience to provide integrated services to children, teens, and adults in the areas of parenting, trauma, attachment, anxiety, depression, complex behaviour, and assessment.
Laura holds a Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Dalhousie University, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology (Honours) from Acadia University. She is a clinically certified Speech-Language Pathologist through Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC).
Laura has a range of experience working with clients from various age groups and backgrounds including: providing early language intervention, articulation therapy, as well as working with children with Autism Spectrum disorders and their families.
Laura employs an evidence-based approach to her practice and believes in working in a client and family-centred way, recognizing each person’s unique situation, strengths and needs and tailoring her therapy and approach accordingly.
Evie holds a Masters degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of Redlands. She is a member of Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC) as well as the British Columbia Association of Speech/Language Pathologists and Audiologists (BCASLPA). Evie is also an LSVT-LOUD certified clinician.
With over ten years of experience working with both adults and children in educational and health-care settings as well as private practice, Evie brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for helping people communicate. Evie loves her work and takes pride in providing services that are both evidence-based and individualized to meet the needs of each client.
Andrea is a Certified Canadian Counsellor with Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (St. Francis Xavier University), Bachelor of Education (University of British Columbia), and a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology (Yorkville University). She is trained in emotionally focused couples therapy, and has worked in secondary education and in a university settings both as a teacher and counsellor.
Andrea is experienced in counselling adolescents and adults in individual and group based settings. Her counselling interests include, but are not limited to: life transitions, trauma, relationship issues, health and weight related concerns, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and stress. Andrea takes an integrative approach to counselling by utilizing aspects of Emotionally Focused and Acceptance and Commitment therapy, motivational interviewing, and cognitive behavioural theory. She collaborates with her clients to facilitate growth and works toward achieving measurable results.
