Chinook
Chinook is lover of all people, but children most of all. When Laura took Chinook for her first walk after having adopted her at the age of one, Chinook hopped right in beside a toddler riding along in their stroller, giving the gentlest of kisses. That’s when Laura knew Chinook was made to be with kids. Outside of work at Trailhead, Chinook loves squirrel chasing, skiing, hiking, taking every chance for a good cuddle and licking up all the peanut butter possible from every empty container. Chinook loves to greet everyone who comes into the office and is really keen to learn new things. She is highly sensitive to the emotions of others and is quick to comfort anyone in distress, sit beside someone feeling anxious, and seeks her own safe space when emotions get too loud. From her own story, she can relate to a lot of the feelings kids may have around adoption, moving, separation anxiety, challenges making friends, and is happy to share that in session in support of helping others.
Cora
Cora joined Charlene and her family at Christmas time, just after COVID. She loves people, digging, smelling, being outside, and treats (of course!). She also loves greeting people at the office and will often lean against someones legs, hoping that they will pet her back.
Cora does her best to be a clear communicator, letting others know what she wants (more pets and walks) and what she does not (time alone in her crate), but like all of us, sometimes it is not clear to others. She feels with her whole body and is happy to share those feelings with others.
