Play Therapist
This position could be ideal for someone looking to work full or part-time with children and their families, who is either a certified counsellor or registered psychologist. You must have a master's degree in psychology, counselling, or clinical social work. Those who are eligible to register as a psychologist or counsellor and who would need supervision, are also encouraged to apply as supervision can be provided.

This is a flexible position up to 35 hours per week.
​
Responsibilities include:

Able to work weekdays and some evenings (3-4 days);

Training and/or certification in play therapy;

Familiar with the play therapy dimensions model and able to use a variety of play therapy modalities;

Sound experience and training in complex trauma, working with a wide age range of children and adolescents, and working with First Nations populations

Familiar with and able to provide therapy for a wide range of issues
-
EMDR training or certification is an asset
Qualifications
-
Current registration to practice as a psychologist/counsellor or eligibility and desire to register

Excellent English verbal and written communication skills

Written and verbal French language fluency is an asset

Ability to use Microsoft Office

Professional liability insurance coverage of $2,000,000

Clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector search

Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination
